Commentary: Dash Thermometers and Climate

Commentary by Robert W. Endlich, Meteorologist - A few weeks ago on News New Mexico we discussed the recent US heat wave. There were media statements; this heat wave is an indicator of “dangerous climate change.” So, to see if this is true, I looked at the data. I used measurements, weather records, and facts, to show this was a “garden variety heat wave.” Within the 50 states, not one new state maximum temperature record was set in the last weeks! Look here:
