Spence: Pop culture is going into shock (cont'd)

So spoiled by the free pass he has gotten from a supposedly free press, Barack Obama could not suppress his petulance during what must have seemed like the most irritating proceedings he had ever experienced. Genuinely miffed that he actually had to defend what has happened under his watch, Obama was an unmitigated disaster.

For the GOP it was exhilarating. For the DNC the ninety excruciating minutes seemed like it would never end.

Since Obama’s intellectual trouncing, the excuse mongers have been out in full force. Al Gore took the prize for the most absurd excuse (no surprise there) when he blamed Obama’s petulance on the altitude.

The trouble is now that sixty-seven millions Americans have been able to do some real comparing and contrasting, they know that Mitt Romney seems much more up to the task of turning America around than the man who has left nothing more than $5 trillion in new debt and a string of broken promises.

Since Wednesday night the self-appointed wards of pop culture and their brethren at progressive think tanks are still reeling. In fact both the comedians and every news outlet except Fox, stills seems rather befuddled.

Not to worry. You can bet everyone who loves the emperor’s new clothes will think of something to say once they consult with their buddies in the administration.

Stay tuned, Joe Biden’s intellectual capabilities will be combined with his command of the facts and put on full display soon.
