When government leads instead of following (cont'd)

Unashamed proponents of an ever bigger government like Barack Obama are not the only problem. The supposed opponents of a bigger more wasteful government like Mitt Romney have been made afraid to talk about the 1-1 ratio between pullers and sitters.
When Mitt Romney was heard in a moment of truth-telling clarity talking about the one-to-one ratio of sitters to pullers back in May, the news media presented the story to the public as a major error in his judgment…..not ours. And predictably in the wake of that brief moment of truth, Barack Obama suggested we should all be outraged that Romney would suggest this wagon, with half the population sitting in it, is actually a huge problem.
Obama’s solution continues to be to blame our troubles on business people by suggesting they are not pulling the wagon hard enough while others sit.
The promoting of bigger and bigger government that tries to make massive promises to every citizen is not unique to the U.S. Letting government lead has been the prevailing philosophy all over a now bankrupt Europe for decades. In fact, only in places like the former Soviet Union, China, and Eastern Europe, where their big governments went broke and reneged on their outrageous promises, have governments started to back away from promising everyone everything and suggesting everyone can sit comfortably in the wagon instead of pulling it.
The worst thing America can possibly do as the current slate of cowardly politicians catapults this nation towards bankruptcy, is allow the news media to crucify any politician who dares to utter the truth about the half of America that is sitting in the wagon.
As Barack Obama repeatedly suggests we take the whip to the business community we might think about what is going to happen when we run out of good mules like Europe has.
